Character List
Ralph- He is the symbol of authority. He comes up with the conch idea for the meetings. He is also seen as a parent like figure by the littler boys. He is described to have fair hair and skin. He is the protagonist of the book.
Jack- He is the leader of the Choir. When he is first introduced he is wearing a dark cap and gown. Jack is the antagonist of the book. He has a very strong blood lust throughout the whole of the book.
Roger- Roger is Jack's right hand man. He is a sociopath and has a strong blood lust. He is one of the main people in the hunting group. When we first meet him he is having fun while pretending that he is killing another boy.
Piggy- He is described to be a chunkier boy. He has glasses and a pair of shorts. Piggy is always around Ralph. He stays by Ralph’s side for as long as he can.
Simon- He also stays by Ralph’s side. If Piggy is Ralph’s right hand man then Simon is his left. He is said to be thinner and have dark hair. He was first introduced as a choir boy with Jack. He left Jack just after Jack’s bloodlust started to show.
Percival- He is described to have a mulberry colored birthmark that covers a large portion of his face. He is the first boy to mention the beast that becomes a large part of the book.
Sam and Eric- They are two twins who live on the island with the others. Both the boys are friends with Ralph. They keep the fire going and watch the camp. Each of the boys play a big part in the ending of the book.
