Imagery
Imagery means how an author describes a scene. Imagery is used by the author to paint a picture in the readers head. This literary term is used in every book. Some examples are:
"The beautiful sunset faded below the horizon. There were quiet sounds of the birds and forest creatures falling asleep."
The white horse was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. The horse was bigger than a man and had a coat of pure white silk."
